Do you suffer from chronic pain? Headaches? Muscle tension? Or do you just need to relax?

Building a network of health care practitioners is vitally important to maintain a well balanced lifestyle. We use professionals such as plumbers, mechanics, electricians and investors for advice or assistance in many facets of our lives.  Likewise, we need health care professionals to help us identify areas of improvement to maintain or better our health.  One important health care practitioner to team up with is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).

Massage Therapists have extensive training to assess soft tissue function and mobility.

“Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including, muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage Therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with everyday and occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions.” – RMTAO

Massage therapy also aids in detoxification by activating the lymphatic system.  To obtain the full benefit of a massage, it is important to remain well hydrated both before and after your massage.  It is also recommended to eat very “clean” on the day of your massage, enjoying a meal of raw or lightly cooked vegetables, fruits, raw nuts and seeds.
